Security Systems Technicians

Minuteman Security Technologies has exciting opportunities for experienced Security Systems Technicians and Project Mangers to join our South East Region technical team. These full-time positions will be located in the Tampa, Orlando and West Palm Beach, FL areas.

Our ideal candidates should have proficient experience in working with access control, CCTV, IP/network cameras, security/fire alarms, and intercom systems. Technicians are expected to install, program, maintain, and replace systems of various types and models. They should also have the ability to effectively communicate and develop positive long-term relationships with customers.

Systems Technician

Minuteman has an exciting opportunity for an experienced “Systems Technician” to join our team. This is a full-time position, located in Andover, MA and working throughout the Boston metro area.

We are currently seeking a System Technician experienced in working with access control, CCTV, IP/network cameras, security/fire alarms, and intercom systems. Technicians are expected to install, program, maintain, and replace systems of various types and models. Project Manager

Minuteman has an immediate opening for a Project Manager. The Project Manager plans, organizes and controls project-planning activities for effective management of electronic security installation projects to include all aspects of systems scheduling, engineering resources, field installation, commissioning and ensures customer satisfaction. The Project Manager is responsible for overall project budget management, project implementation, inspection and client acceptance. The Project Manager must be capable of executing multiple projects varying in size and complexity on time and within budget through effective communication, preparation and management techniques.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with managers, employees, customers and vendors in an intelligent, clear, concise and professional manner.
  • Consistently and effectively determine, allocate and maximize available resources through project planning to ensure the achievement of sales and project management objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed information on projects, Technician and/or Contractor job progress, photograph files, daily tracking reports, job costing and communicate regularly throughout the project regarding job progress or status, installation issues, concerns or problems.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules and coordinate task-scheduling with other trades.
  • Plan and schedule engineering, installation and subcontractors as needed.
  • Supervise installation labor and sub-contractors.
  • Work closely with billing to ensure that all projects assigned are being billed timely and within the guidelines established by the specific project.
  • Prioritize team workload to ensure quality results are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Troubleshoot project issues and engage appropriate management and resources as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the electronic security industry is preferred.
  • CSPM, PMP Certification preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of PM techniques and tools, general knowledge of contract laws and regulations.
  • Factory certifications in relevant technology platforms is a plus (Software House, Lenel, S2, Genetec, Exacq).

Account Manager

Minuteman is now interviewing for an experienced Account Manager for the Maine Branch Office. This new position requires a minimum of 5+ years’ experience selling advanced security/public safety technologies into enterprise vertical markets.

  • Comfortable working knowledge of IP video surveillance and network based access control systems, in an enterprise environment, is required.
  • Minimum qualifications should include extensive overall physical security & public safety industry knowledge, BS degree or equivalent security or law enforcement background/certifications.
  • Experience selling enterprise security technology products such as Lenel, Software House, Honeywell ProWatch, Genetec, Milestone, ONSSI, IndigoVision, EXACQ Technologies, or similar are a must.
