Project Manager (Maine)
Minuteman Security & Life Safety is looking for an experienced project manager for the southern Maine location, responsible for managing various-sized security & fire installation projects. This position will work with the sales and operations team to be within an established budget and expectations.
Job Duties:
- Manage client schedule needs, plan, and coordinate installation projects to be completed in a timely fashion and within budget from project inception, to end.
- Work with operations team to allocate internal resources and subcontractors
- Perform safety audits and inspections.
- Communicate construction schedule and milestone impacts.
- Work with sales on securing change order requests for out-of-scope items requested by customer or dictated by unforeseen field conditions.
- Manage RFI process for working projects and escalate to engineering as needed.
- Update job comments to detail positive and negative margin slips and job specific notes such as schedule and coordination notes or hold status clarifications.
- Schedule and coordinate lifts and equipment rentals.
- Document as built information, device schedules and acceptance documents.
- Identify and recover unused material at the end of project.
- Schedule and coordinate final customer training and acceptance.
- Ability to travel, in some cases overnight.
Experience and Skills:
- Possession of valid state issued driver’s license.
- Effective communication skills including the ability to ask probing questions, detect unstated assumptions, and resolve conflicts.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Five to seven years of direct industry experience preferred; or possession of CSPM certification.
- Good understanding of installation methods, best practices, and procedures.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effectively use project management tools and basic office software such as ConnectWise, Microsoft Excel®, Microsoft Word®, and Microsoft Outlook®.
